On October 22, 2022 Junior Henwood was involved in an ATV accident that left him with a broken back, ribs and shoulder as well as a punctured lung. After surgeries, and almost three months in hospitals and rehab facilities trying to heal and rebuild his strength, he remains paralyzed from the waist down.
He is being released from the Kingston Rehab on January 10th to start his new life in a wheelchair and learn how to navigate his future independently. Though his spinal cord wasn’t severed during the crash, doctors have deemed him “complete” with no hope for walking again but Junior is determined to prove them wrong!
He and his girlfriend, Hannah had to relocate to another rental home with ground floor living to accommodate his new wheels. Junior faces a long road ahead with many appointments and financial strain, so we hope to raise enough money to help provide them with some relief during this time.
