What can we possibly say here to describe the party going on inside the Lions Centre in Port Hope on New Year’s Eve ??? What a thrill to be playing our 3rd SOLD OUT show in a row! The excitement and energy from the audience was electric, from Song#1 – Song number 30… something! 250+ people eager to have a fun night with family and friends, to send 2015 on its way to the history books and start 2016 with a bang, many of whom danced their faces off all night long. Your enthusiasm got the party started and kept it going until the lights came on at 1am.
Congratulations to LEE who won our “Pick A Song For Us To Play” contest with the epic submission of Europe’s “THE FINAL COUNTDOWN”. Lee will be getting a free Storm The Palace house party show in 2016! The runner-up prize was split between DIANA & ERIN & GARY who ALL submitted KARMA CHAMELEON, and each received a PharmaSave Gift Certificate. Thank you Keith and all at PharmaSave and Long & McQuade for once again selling our tickets.
Very special thanks to Dave, Crystal, Diana, Heather AND Mel for helping keep the night running smoothly. Couldn’t have done it with out you all. And thanks to The Lions Club for having us.
Lastly, a heartfelt THANK YOU to everyone who has made this such an incredible year for Storm The Palace. I’ve played more shows to more enthusiasm this year than I have in all my years of playing. From our Station Residency, to Canada Day, WaterFront Festival, SlideStreet, Halloween through to New Year’s Eve and the literally dozens of shows in between you all have kept coming out, kept dancing, and kept escaping with us to a place and time where we can leave our troubles at the door for a few hours at and just have a carefree time.
